Pana Cotta with Strawberry sauce
Strawberry Panna Cotta is an Italian, elegant and refreshing desert which is perfect for summer days and special day celebrations.
Ingredients
For the Panna Cotta200ml whole milk
200ml whipping cream
1/2 tbsp gelatin powder
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For the strawberry sauce
1 Cup chopped strawberries
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp water
Directions
- Dissolve gelatin in 2 tbsp cold water and let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes.
- In a medium sized saucepan bring the milk ,cream, sugar and salt to a simmer over medium-low heat (Do not boil).
- Remove from heat and add vanilla and the dissolved gelatin and stir until the gelatin has completely dissolved.
- Pour it in the prepared desert glasses or moulds and refrigerate for about 4 hrs or better overnight. You can also slant the desert glass on cupcake tray as shown in the picture below.
- Before serving prepare the strawberry sauce.
- To prepare the strawberry sauce, add the chopped strawberries, water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil and let it cool completely. Then blend it and refrigerate.
- Pour over the set Panna Cotta before serving. Enjoy!!
