Cheesy Chicken Balls
Cheesy chicken balls are tasty appetizers made of chicken and potatoes. They are easy to make with basic ingredients.
Tips:
⦁ You can prepare these chicken balls a day ahead, refrigerate and fry them or freeze up to a week.
Ingredients
300g chicken breasts
1/2 tsp soya sauce
1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 medium sized potatoes
1 medium sized onion chopped finely
1 green chilli chopped finely
a pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
1/4 tsp chili powder (optional )
1 tbsp oil
salt
pepper
Cheddar cheese (diced)
bread crumbs
Two eggs (slightly beaten)
1/4 cup all purpose flour (for coating)

Directions
- Marinate the chicken with 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper and soya sauce and refrigerate for an hour or overnight.
- Cook or boil the chicken by adding a little water and shred them.
- Boil potatoes and mash them.
- Heat a pan or wok and add oil and when the oil heats, add ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, chopped green chilies and all the spices and saute them. (Do not cook for too long)
- Next add the shredded chicken and the mashed potatoes and stire well. Switch off the flame.
- Let the mixture cool for sometime.
- Now form the chicken mixture into lime sized balls and form a patty it on your palms. (Look at the picture tutorial below)
- Place a diced cheddar cheese and cover it and seal them tight making a ball. Coat them with all purpose flour.
- Next coat these balls with slightly beaten eggs.
- Then coat the balls dipped in the eggs with bread crumbs. Repeat this coating again.
- Refrigerate the chicken balls for an hour and deep fry them in a medium heat until golden. Serve hot!! Enjoy!
