Tea Cake
Everyone deserves a little treat with their evening cup of tea. This is a simple butter cake that is great with tea or coffee. Easy to make and very delicious.
Ingredients
250g butter (softened)
225g sugar
5 eggs (medium sized)
225g flour (sifted thrice)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4tsp salt
1/4 cup milk (or 2 tbsp milk powder+3 tbsp cold water)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 150 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
- Sift flour+baking powder+salt thrice.
- Beat butter and sugar well.
- Add one egg at a time and beat well until creamy.
- Then add the flour and fold with a spatula until combined.( Do not beat)
- Finally add the vanilla extract to the milk and mix it with the cake batter. Mix well with a spatula until combined.
- Pour the batter to a baking pan and bake for 1 hour under 150 degree Celsius.
