1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
1 cup condensed milk (chilled)
250g strawberry (chilled)
1 tsp vanilla essence
A pinch of pink gel colour (optional)
1 cup condensed milk (chilled)
250g strawberry (chilled)
1 tsp vanilla essence
A pinch of pink gel colour (optional)
Directions
- Place the stainless steel bowl and the hands of the electric beater in the refrigerator at least an hour before making ice cream. All the ingredients also need to be chilled before use.
- Blend strawberry with 1 tbsp cold water and pour the strawberry puree to a small bowl. Keep aside.
- Pour heavy whipping cream in to the chilled bowl, and whip the cream using and an electric beater to stiff peaks.
- Mix the condensed milk with the strawberry puree, vanilla and colouring. Then add it to the whipped cream. Gently fold and mix using a rubber spatula. (Don't use the electric beater from now)
- Pour the ice cream batter to a freezer proof glass bowl or baking tray. Wrap it with plastic wrap and freeze for 2 hours. (It is more convenient to use a container with a lid.)
- After two hours, take out and mix the ice cream batter with a fork. Then cover and freeze again for another 8 hours or overnight.
- Take the ice cream out of the freezer 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!!
Variations:
Vanilla Ice-cream: To make vanilla ice cream, omit the strawberries. Fold only the condensed milk with whipped cream.
Any other flavours: Replace any fruit with strawberries to make ice cream of different flavours.
