Katta Sambal (Chili sambol)
Katta sambol is a spicy Sri Lankan condiment made using onions, chilie flakes and chilli powder. This is usually eaten with Milk Rice (kiribath), Pol roti and Hoppers. This is a very popular hot condiment in Sri Lanka.
Ingredients
2 tbsp red chili flakes
1/2 tsp chili powder
3 small onions/ 1 large onion
1 small green chilie
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp maldivian fish flakes (optional, if you are vegan)
1 tbsp fresh lime juice (half of lime)

Directions
- Grind everything in a mortar and pestle except lime juice. ( you can also grind them using an electric grinder too)
- Finally mix in the lime juice and serve.
