Homemade bread
There is nothing better than freshly home baked bread. You don't need those fancy bread flour to make a delicious load of homemade bread. All purpose flour works well too. Make this easy, crusty and delicious bread for the family and everyone will love it. This is a simple recipe with step by step instructions.

Ingredients
450g All Purpose Flour1 1/2 teaspoons of Salt
7g of Instant yeast
30g of white sugar
1 1/2 cup of very warm water (not hot)
11/2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
3 tablespoons of Butter to brush of top
Bread pan size 9" x 5"
- Divide the flour in to two equal portions. (225g each)
- Combine 225g of all purpose flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Keep the rest of flour aside.
- Then add oil and water and mix well until incorporated and cover and keep aside for 10 minutes. This will be like a batter not a dough.
- When the batter is a bit bubbly, gradually add the remaining flour and knead well. The dough should be slightly sticky.
- Knead for about 2 minutes until the dough is elastic.
- Make a dough ball, apply some sunflower oil and cover with cling film. Let it rise until double in size. This can take up to 30 minutes. (depends on the climate you live)
- Meanwhile, grease the bread mould or bread pan with butter.
- Once it has risen, lightly punch the dough release air bubbles and then fold the dough as shown in the picture.
- Pinch the final end of the dough loaf to seal and place it in the bread pan.
- Brush some oil/butter on top of the loaf and cover slightly with a plastic wrap or cling film.
- Let the dough rise at least 1 inch above the top rim of the pan.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes or until brown.
- As soon as the bread is taken out of the oven, brush butter on top and remove from the pan and place it in a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Let it cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
Tips:
- Use a good quality all purpose flour for best results.
- Use the exact pan size to get that beautiful bread.
- Store the bread in an airtight bag or bread bag.
