Tomato & Onion chutney
This Tomato & Onion Chutney is my favourite to have with Idli & Dosa. It is very easy and quick to make and will make a great addition to the South Indian food. The colour, aroma and spicy taste will make anyone's favourite.
Ingredients
6 small red onions (or 3 large onions cut in to chunks)
2 large tomatoes cut in to chunks
4 dry red chillies
1 tsp red chilie flakes
2 tbsp tamarind juice
1/2 tsp salt or as per taste
3 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions
- Heat oil in a pan over a medium to high heat and add the dry red chilies.
- Then add the onions and saute well. add the red chilie flakes and tomatoes and saute well. Let the tomatoes & onions get fried in the oil.
- Now add the tamarind juice, salt and mix well. When everything is cooked well, Transfer to blender and blend the paste well.
- Serve hot! (Make this when you are about to serve)
